Privacy Policy

Nook - your home, together is a household management app that helps you and the people you live with manage tasks, bills, shopping lists, and other shared household information. This Privacy Policy explains what information Nook collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Nook collects only what's needed to run your household space and keep it in sync across your household members' devices.

CameraUsed only if you scan a QR invite code to join a household. Camera images are not stored or transmitted — they're processed on-device to read the code
Biometric dataIf you enable Face ID / Touch ID sign-in, authentication is handled entirely by iOS on your device. Nook never receives or stores biometric data
Advertising identifierOn the free tier, an advertising identifier may be used (with your permission, via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt) to show ads through Google AdMob

3. Who can see your household data

Household content (tasks, bills, shopping lists, notes, goals, inventory, special dates, and the activity feed) is visible to every member of that household — that's the core purpose of Nook. It is not visible to members of other households and is not made public.

These providers may process data on servers outside your country of residence, under their own privacy and security practices.

5. Data retention & deletion

Your account and household data are retained for as long as your account is active. If a household owner deletes a household, all data belonging to that household (tasks, bills, shopping items, notes, goals, inventory, special dates, and activity history) is permanently deleted for every member. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

Nook is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Nook after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
